Who
makes up Bontrager's?
For Clarence Bontrager, founder of the Bontrager Auction Company,
becoming an auctioneer was always part of his childhood dream. With
the establishment of the company in 1935, Mr. Bontrager began to build
the company’s reputation of honest, professional and personal
service.
In 1956 his son, Alferd, came on board helping set up auctions and clerking. Three years later (1959), he helped do his first auction, and continued working and learning along side of his father until his death in 1987.
In 1995, Robert “Todd” Jantzi (cousin) was hired and attended Auction School. Upon his return, Todd has continued to do every phase of the auction business. All during this time, Al’s brother, Wilbur, has continued to help at auctions as needed.

to be of service to all our loyal clients.
