In 1935, Clarence Bontrager founded Bontrager’s Auction Company and quickly established the business on a reputation of honesty, professionalism and personal service. His son Alferd joined the business in 1956, first working as auctioneer, and later also becoming a real estate broker. Over the years another son, Wilbur, worked as auctioneer when needed. Alferd continued to oversee and grow the business after his father died in 1987.

By 1995, Robert “Todd” Jantzi (cousin) was hired and worked in all phases of the auction and real estate business, becoming a professional auctioneer and real estate broker. With Alferd’s retirement in 2009, Todd continues the Bontrager business by providing high quality services with the same personal service that was started in 1935. Our goal is to continue to be of service to all our loyal clients.
